Originating in Central and South America, some of the most popular Amazon Parrot species include the Blue Fronted Amazon, Red Lored Amazon and Double Yellow Headed Amazon Parrots.
While some Amazon Parrot species can be rather challenging to care for, generally requiring experience with Parrots, Amazon Parrots are commonly some of the best talkers and often the easiest to train. Amazon Parrots will also entertain themselves for long periods of time when provided with appropriate toys and plenty of space to play.
Amazons are smart birds with beautiful coloring and depending on the species will vary in size from rather small to quite large. Males can get a bit aggressive so it is very important that the owner has time for training and exercising of the male Amazon Parrot.
